Wings clip Bombers for huge division win; hard luck Risers push Demon Hawks to limit
TAMPA, Fla. -- The Wichita Wings made sure to keep things mighty interesting in the Midwest Division of Major Arena Soccer League 2 with a big defensive effort to drop the Amarillo Bombers 7-5.
The Bombers have scored the most goals of any team in M2 this season -- and came into the weekend with the best goal scoring differential as well -- but the Wings got a good performance from netminder Aaron Parrott and the rest of the defense who held Amarillo to its lowest goal output of the season.
Meanwhile, for the second straight time at home, Muskegon pushed the North Division leading Iowa Demon Hawks to the limit, losing again by just one goal; and the Empire Jets spoiled RGV's California swing by picking up its first win to break a four-game losing streak.
