Week 8 action brings new leaders atop M2 Midwest, West divisions
After week eight in Major Arena Soccer League 2, there are new leaders in the Midwest and West Divisions. Of course, the question is, how long will the Amarillo Bombers and Chihuahua Savage II will stay there?
The New Mexico Runners (3-0-0) win over the weekend, and two wins by the Amarillo Bombers (4-1-0), sets up a huge showdown next Sunday afternoon in Amarillo when the two teams will meet.
Meanwhile, out west, the Chihuahua Savage II (4-1-0) have claimed the top spot, with Tijuana-based Club Deportivo de Baja California (3-1-0) close on their heels.
The Savage II will be part of a unique indoor soccer "triple shot" next Sunday in San Diego. Deportivo de Baja will host the Turlock Cal Express at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29 at Pechanga Arena. The San Diego Sockers 2 will then host the Savage II in a 12 noon PST start. Finally, later in the day, the Major Arena Soccer League Sockers will put their league record 28-game unbeaten streak on the line when they host the Savage.
