Turlock Cal Express Round Out Lineup for 2021-2022 Season

Tampa, FL - The Turlock Cal Express announced their move to the MASL 2 for the 2021-2022 season officially today. The Express will round out the lineup for the season starting in December, which will consist of 13 teams across the country.

Turlock has played at the MASL level for the last six seasons, but will move down one division for the coming year while working on a business plan to bring them back to the Major Arena Soccer League in the near future. The Express debuted in the Premier Arena Soccer League for the 2011-12 season, making the PASL divisional finals in their second season. In their most recent MASL campaign, they posted a mark of 8-12, which included wins over the Ontario Fury, San Diego Sockers and Sonora de Soles.

Turlock has taken the field every year since their start, save for last season when it sat out along with many other MASL teams due to the COVID pandemic.

“We welcome the Express to M2 this coming year. We know they put a quality product on the floor year in and year out, and they will provide great competition for our other M2 teams in that part of the country like the San Diego Soccers 2 and Ontario Fury 2,” M2 Commissioner Chris Economides said.

M2 will kick off its 2021-22 season in December with a 12-game regular season schedule for its 13 new and returning franchises. The schedule release will be made in the coming days.

“We’re pleased to be able to continue to bring high level of indoor soccer to our fans in Turlock, especially keeping our rivalries alive with franchises in San Diego and Ontario, as we work towards rejoining the MASL at some point in the near future” managing partner Art Pulido said.

Stay tuned for the full 2021-2022 schedule being released at 3pm EST later today!
