St. Louis v. Iowa showdown set, Runners break through, Utica now leads in East
TAMPA, Florida -- Game on in Des Moines.
The St. Louis Ambush 2 took care of business at home over the weekend, winning three in a row, to set up a showdown in Iowa next Saturday night when the Demon Hawks and Ambush 2 will likely settle things in the North.
St. Louis broke the Hawks 21-game win streak in overtime in Des Moines on February 15, with Iowa beating St. Louis in St. Louis two weeks after their streak was snapped. Iowa leads St. Louis by two points, and has one game in hand.
Elsewhere, Utica's United Elite Krajisnik, affiliate of Utica City FC in the MASL, moved into first place (on tiebreakers) in the East, with three-game against Spice City awaiting to end their season which will decide the division crown. And breaking into the win column in Albuquerque this weekend, the New Mexico Runners toppled the OKC Certified Lions.
