SOCKERS 2 HIT JACKPOT WITH 8-2 WIN OVER LAS VEGAS

The San Diego Sockers 2 ended their three-game losing streak with an 8-2 romp over the Las Vegas Knights at Valley View Casino Center on Sunday afternoon. Sam Palano scored his first career hat-trick to lead the Sockers 2.

San Diego's offense was back in high gear after several tough outings. In addition to Palano's three goals, Sean Callahan added two goals and one assist, and Jared Hegardt, Evan Myers, and Edgar Aguilar each tallied one score.

The game was never in doubt as San Diego scored seven goals, before Las Vegas found the back of the net with 6:56 left in the third period.

Ramon Torres recorded his first win by making five saves on the six shots he faced. Gaining valuable experience was backup Aaron Fenalson who played the final 12 minuites in goal for the Sockers 2.

San Diego travels to Colorado for back-to-back games against the Inferno and Blizzard on February 2 & 3. The Sockers 2 will play their final home game on Sunday, February 11, 1:05 p.m. against the Arizona Impact.
