Seven more teams kickoff their M2 season with five games today, Saturday and Sunday

TAMPA, Florida -- Seven more teams -- more than half of the Major Arena Soccer League 2 teams -- will kickoff their 2021-22 seasons this weekend spread across five games.

The Omaha Kings will host the New Mexico Runners in a pair of games, starting Friday night in an 8 p.m. kickoff CST. The two team will tangle a second time on Saturday, with that start time set for 9 p.m. central. Both games will be broadcast live on You Tube in cooperation with M2 media partner Veter Sports.

Three more teams will debut on Saturday, including the home opener for the iconic Wichita Wings who advance to the M2 championship game last summer before falling to the Cleveland Crunch. The Amarillo Bombers will be in town for a 7 p.m. CST start at Hartman Arena.

In addition, the Chicago Mustangs will lift the curtain on their 12-game regular season schedule by hosting the Muskegon Risers, who defeated the Cincinnati-based BC Swerve 9-7 in last weekend's season opener for M2. Kickoff in Chicago will be at 7 p.m. CST for the Great Lakes division matchup.

Sunday, M2 action swings to the west coast when two MASL teams will have their M2 squads face off as the San Diego Sockers 2 host the Ontario Fury 2. Kickoff 12:30 p.m. PST.
