Rochester finishes off fifth ever M2 'perfecto" regular season; playoff teams set sights on Wichita

The Rochester Lancers completed the fifth perfect regular season in the seven-year history of Major Arena SOccer League 2 action, completing the trick with a home sweep of Utica's United Elite Krajisnik FC to highlight Week 16 action.

The Iowa Demon Hawks also had a perfect 12-0 mark this past season, and the Wichita Wings did not lose in regulation time, but did have one overtime loss on their slate.

All eight teams who have qualified for the post-season are known, with the lone remaining regular season game this Saturday at Towson Arena in Baltimore to determine whether Atletico Orlando or the Iowa Raptors will be the No. 6 seed. The remaining teams in order of seeding are the Demon Hawks, Lancers, Wings, El Paso Rhinos Uno Seis FC, Amarillo Bombers and the St. Louis Ambush 2 (eighth). 

The playoffs will start on APril 5 at 10 a.m. in Wichita, with games at 1, 4 and 7 p.m. CST as well. Four games will follow on the same schedule on April 6, with the title game and consolation finals Sunday afternoon at Hartman Arena.

Because of arena issues, this coming Friday's game between Orlando and Baltimore has been cancelled, giving a forfeit win to Orlando.
