RGV Surges in the West; Colorado, Turlock get first wins to highlight M2 Week 12

TAMPA, Fla. -- There were storylines galore in Major Arena Soccer League 2, but none bigger than the historic debut of Nicky Ridenour as the head coach of the previously winless Colorado Inferno.

Ridenour made her bench debut a memorable one -- as the first ever female head coach in the history of the Major Arena Soccer League or Major Arena Soccer League 2 -- as the Inferno raced to a 5-1 lead 16 minutes into the first half, and rolled to a 13-8 triumph.

They weren't the only M2 side to earn their first win of the season, as the Turlock Cal Express thrilled the home fans with a 7-6 win over the Empire Jets. Meanwhile, the RGV Barracudas jumped back into the West Division race in a big way with a doubleheader sweep of Cub Deportivo de Baja California in Brownsville, Texas.
