One of pro indoor soccer's most iconic franchises kicks off new season tonight

One of pro indoor soccer's most iconic franchises -- the Wichita Wings -- will kick off their 2022-23 Major Arena Soccer League 2 season Friday night at home against the Kansas Bandits.

A new Sunflower State rivalry and return of the Wing's vaunted "Orange Army" will kick off at 7:05 p.m. CST.

The Wings trace their lineage all the way to the original Major Indoor Soccer League when the city was awarded an expansion franchise for the 1979-80 season.
