MASL 2 Announces Broadcast Partnership for 2021 Finals with FTF TV

TAMPA, Fla. – Indoor soccer fans are in for a treat this month when Major Arena Soccer League 2 will present its “championship weekend” games free both online and on broadcast channels throughout the United States.

M2 Commissioner Chris Economides said a deal has been reached to bring the league’s semi-finals and championship with “For The Fans” for games July 17 and 18 from Hartman Arena in Wichita, where the Wings, Cleveland Crunch, Chicago Mustangs and Amarillo Bombers will square off for the league title.

For the Fans, or “FTF” (free live stream at ftfnext.com) reaches some 90 million homes worldwide through a broad array of network and cable television affiliations, including Direct TV (Channel 623), ATT U-verse (1665), and Verizon Fios (597). FTF is available on connected devices as well like Roku (Channel 228), Samsung TV Plus (1167), Xumo (711) and Distro (38) along with dozens of national cable providers like Atlantic Broadband (501) Mediacom (679) and Centurylink.

“We are thrilled to be able to reward fans of indoor soccer with what we know will be three great games in front of large and enthusiastic crowds in Wichita to determine our 2021 champion,” Commissioner Chris Economides. “Providing free, live broadcasts of our championship weekend is a thank-you to everyone in the sport who made 2021 happen under the most trying and difficult circumstances.”

M2’s championship weekend comes in the middle of a series of announcements and changes that continue to build a strong foundation for the sport, Deputy Commissioner Andrew Ross added.

“There are so many exciting and very positive things happening at every level of the indoor soccer pyramid – from the new leadership team for the Major Arena Soccer League – to all the new and returning teams at the M2 and M3 levels,” Ross said. “This weekend will be a springboard to the 2021-22 which is already shaping up to be our biggest, best, and most competitive season ever."

For the Fans (FTF) is an emerging network offering engaging video content, established to serve the passionate fan's appreciation for competition, sportsmanship, and performance. FTF features a 24/7 broadcast, including live and on-demand video (VOD), games & events, interviews, predictions, analysis, and a variety of original programming.

Final seeding for the semi-final matchups, which will be played at 3 and 7 p.m. Central Daylight Time July 17 will be determined by the final two regular season M2 games this weekend when Amarillo hosts both the Wings (Friday) and Colorado Inferno (Sunday). The league’s championship game will start at 5 p.m. CST Sunday, July 18.

Wings play-by-play announcer Zach Taylor will serve in that same role for all three games in addition to a soon to be announced color commentator.
