M2, Colorado Inferno FC and Amarillo Bombers FC Announce Rocky Mountain Invitational

Colorado Springs – (December 19, 2020) – Major Arena Soccer League fans in the mountain region and beyond will now have their chance at witnessing arena soccer action with the Rocky Mountain Invitational! Organized by M2, the Colorado Inferno FC and Amarillo Bombers FC, the Rocky Mountain Invitational will feature teams from both M2, M3 and the PASL. The tournament is set to kick off in early February of 2021.

In addition to the M2 sides, the invitational will also feature the M3 side Omaha Kings and a first glance at the competition from the Golden Strikers from Golden, Colorado and the Edwards Freedom FC, from Edwards, Colorado. Both the Strikers and Freedom currently play in the Premier Arena Soccer League, and look forward to seeing how they compete against M2 and M3 teams. The tournament will have a similar competition and point structure to that of the Central and Heartland Cup.

The first game is scheduled to be played on Saturday February 6th where the host Colorado Inferno FC welcome the Omaha Kings to the SoccerHaus in Colorado Springs. The SoccerHaus is a premier arena soccer facility that seats over 1000 fans and is the home of the Inferno. The Kings will then host the Inferno at their arena in Omaha, Nebraska on February 20th at 7pm. Additional dates and games will be announced soon for the Bombers, Strikers, and Freedom.

"Colorado Inferno FC is anxious to ‘set the turf on fire’! We feel as if there is unfinished business from last years playoffs being forced to cancel due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. We are excited to introduce a Co-Coach Dynamic with Coach Jorge Troncoso, and returning Coach John Wells. Both of them will contribute to the efforts of proving Colorado Inferno FC's Championship Title dreams. For now, winning the Rocky Mountain Invitational is a great starting point, and we look forward to welcoming Amarillo, Omaha, Golden, and Edwards to the SoccerHaus and to the tournament," said Colorado Inferno Owner and CEO Brett Riding.

The tournament will be broadcasted on Facebook pay per view for $10 per game or $40 for all games. Single game tickets will also be on sale following the holidays as teams work to confirm arena capacities following all state and local COVID-19 guidelines. More exciting announcements and details for all MASL 2 tournament play and season updates will be released in the coming weeks.
