Lancers Owner, Soccer Sam, receives presitgious community award
Salvatore SoccerSam Fantauzzo, CEO & Founder of Salvatore’s Pizza, has been recognized by the Rochester Business Journal as an Icon.
The ICON Honors Awards recognize Greater Rochester Area business leaders for their notable success and demonstration of strong leadership.
“I am honored and send many thanks to the RBJ for this recognition,” said Salvatore SoccerSam Fantauzzo, “It’s been an amazing run and I appreciate anyone that has ever ordered from us, all our past & current franchisees, employees, business partners & office staff. Special thanks to my wife Linda, my amazing children & family for allowing me to focus on our business for the last 44 years & my office dream team of Silvio Fantauzzo, Kayla Kent-Moreira & Ashley Maria King.”
SoccerSam started Salvatore’s Pizza in 1978 as a home economics project at Eastridge High School. 44 years and 30+ locations later, Salvatore’s has provided job & career opportunities to an innumerable amount of Rochesterians. Salvatore's Pizzeria franchisees currently employ over 1600 people, and locations are now operated by former employees turned business owners.
“SoccerSam is worthy of great respect not only in the restaurant industry, but as the Rochester business owner, franchisor, consultant, mentor & philanthropist that he is,” Said Ashley Maria King, Salvatore’s President of Business Operations. “He has created a ripple pattern of success within his brands, that allows a teenage pizza box maker to grow into an operator of their very own business. I am glad that he is being recognized and celebrated as a living legend of Rochester leaders.”
SoccerSam will receive the ICON Honors Award, along with a handful of other prestigious 2022 Honorees, by the RBJ on December 5th at the Genesee Valley Country Club for a limited attendance celebration & networking event that is expected to sell-out.
