Jets close out Week 5 with 5-2 win over Sockers 2

Despite the presence of MASL star Brian Farber in the San Diego Sockers 2 lineup, the Ontario, California based Empire Jets defeated their SoCal rivals, 5-2, to wrap up week 5 action in Major Arena Soccer League 2.

Victor Perez and Moustapha Gueye each scored a brace to lead the Jets offense while goaltender Brian Orozco earned the victory in net.

It was a prelude to a huge weekend in M2, with no less than 11 games on tap, including the long-awaited debut and return of the Rochester Lancers, who will be in Michigan to meet the Risers.
