Amarillo's Patriani, Molina are First Line All Tournament picks from Rocky Mountain Invitational

TAMPA, Fla. – Completing a total turnaround, the FC Amarillo Bombers placed two players on the All Rocky Mountain Invitational All Tournament team after winning all three of its games at last weekend’s event in Colorado Springs.

Named to the All Tournament First Line are Bombers Vitor Patriani and Julio Molina. They are joined by Thomas Hoang of the Premier Arena Soccer League Alliance FC,  Josue Jimenez (Colorado Inferno), Rapha Nascimento (Omaha Kings FC) and goalkeeper Jack Bennett (Omaha Kings).

Patriani currently leads all of M2 scoring with 11 points (six goals and five assists). In his second season for Amarillo, he is coming off a sensational rookie season where he banged in 21 goals in just nine games. He was a standout at nearby West Texas A & M University, and was coming off Second Line all tournament honors at the recent Heartland Invitational in Wichita. 

Jimenez had four goals in the pair of M2 games in Colorado, including a hat trick in the Inferon’s 10-4 win over Omaha and now has six goals on the season. He is coming off a strong 2019-20 campaign where he netted 16 points in 11 games for the Inferno. For his Inferno career, he has appeared in 34 games with 26 goals and 12 assists. He was a third line all tournament selection several weeks ago at the Heartland Invitational in Wichita. 

Molina had his biggest effort in Amarillo’s biggest win, 10-7 over Colorado, picking up a team high three assists and a goal. He also had two goals in an 8-7 win over Omaha. For the season, Molina has six goals and three assists, after recording eight goals in 10 games last year.

Nascimento is a veteran of 42 games in the Major Arena Soccer League for the Florida Tropics, Orlando SeaWolves and St. Louis Ambush. The defender has 44 career blocks in the MASL, 

Bennett, despite losing to Colorado and Amarillo, was strong in goal for Omaha, facing a constant barrage of shots from both sides. Amarillo fired 42 shots at Bennett while the Inferno unleashed 41 shots on goal. 

Second line honorees included Bobby Jaffey (Omaha), Francisco Rivas (Inferno), Devin Guidichessi (Inferno), Miguel Reyes (Bombers), Armnado Gonzalez (Inferno) and goaltender Kasey Baker (Bombers).

Third Line honorees were Ali Sodal (Omaha), James Thayer (Omaha), Lucca Lima (Bombers), Conrod Goulbourne (Bombers), Raul Elias (Inferno) and netminder Justin Dzuba (Inferno).
