M2 Trade Wire: Alex Moseley Traded To Wichita

MOSELEY RETURNS TO WICHITA; TRADE FROM INFERNO APPROVED

Colorado Springs, CO (November 30, 2019) - The Wichita Wings have added veteran defender Alex Moseley to their roster after the Major Arena Soccer League 2 has approved a trade between the Colorado Inferno and the Wings. The trade brings the former Wing back home to play for the teams 40th anniversary season.

The agreement was brokered by the Arena Soccer Group (“ASG”), the management group of the MASL 2.

Although full terms of the agreement are yet to be disclosed, the league has officially green-lighted the trade which gives Wichita the MASL rights to Moseley.

Colorado Inferno owner Brett Riding points to the importance of the Wichita Wings return to indoor soccer as the driving factor for the Inferno trade.

“Alex Moseley has been fantastic for us, he was our captain and an all league performer,” said Riding. “We love him, but we know his roots and family are in Wichita and we believe the future of this league is in homegrown talent.”

Moseley was born and raised in Wichita. He was not only a life-long Wings fan, but he also played two MISL seasons with the team in 2011 and 2012.

“Alex’s indoor experience and love for the Wings will play a vital role in our success,” said Wings General Manager Blake Shumaker. “Sure we needed a veteran player, but his passion for Wichita soccer is where his true leadership will be priceless to us. Alex is family here and we couldn’t be more excited for Wings fans. We're beyond grateful to the league and it’s owners. This is a great example of like-minded people working in the same direction to grow the game.”
